NatureBox is looking for a smart, eager, hard-working, creative food product development/innovation candidate with strong sourcing, vendor relationship, and negotiating experience. We are looking for an analytical and creative candidate with superb organizational skills. This candidate will help manage existing supplier relationships and help to identify new supplier partners in support of our rapid growth. This role has great growth potential to lead into management of product strategy and foster team member growth and development.
Oversees strategy, development and execution of product assortment offerings
Handles ideation to commercialization of multiple food product launches at any given time.
Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects cross functionally.
Negotiates with vendors as they relate to assigned product lines in all aspects of product development. This includes ideation, adaptation, costing, product quality and distribution related issues.
Performs market analysis, competitive shop and analyze sales trends to keep abreast of current trends. Obtain feedback from customer ratings and data to improve product and add to collections.
Navigates gaps and opportunities and work to reformulate existing SKUs when appropriate.
Maintains financial profitability by meeting and exceeding margin and sales targets.
Collaborate with Chef Partners to identify and develop new products.
Maintain, develop and strengthen new and existing vendor relationships.
Manages supplier files to ensure required compliance documentation is present, accurate and up to date.
Seeks quality secondary sources to supplement primary sources as necessary
Attends trade shows and visit production facilities as necessary.
