Inventory Planning Analyst

We are looking for a smart and highly motivated individual with strong work ethics to be our commercial / retail inventory planning analyst. This individual will support our corporate and retail channel in creating, managing and executing our inventory plans to help drive our sales growth.



  • Create product level buy recommendations that support topline financial and inventory targets for commercial and retail channels
  • Liaison to commercial team in communicating risks / opportunities in inventory levels
  • Liaison between retail customer, 3rd party partners and internal NatureBox teams
  • Work w/ corporate, product and finance team in receipt recommendations
  • Manage appropriate inventory levels across multiple facilities and mitigate inventory risks; report against key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Manage the end to end process of retail PO fulfillment: receipt of PO to quantity validation, fulfillment schedule and on time delivery
  • Gather data and provide recommendations to support our product and gross margin strategies
  • Recommend new product buy quantities and hindsight performance
  • Ensure receipt accuracy and execute new product releases
  • Execute and manage system updates in our warehouse management system
  • Partner w/ our warehouses to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained across the supply chain
  • Communicate performance and future product needs in weekly sales and operations planning (S&OP) meeting
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with appropriate stakeholders to implement

  • Analytical with great attention to detail; ability to evaluate quantitative data and translate information into actionable solutions to drive positive business results
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with team, peers and cross functional partners
  • Must be flexible and adaptive to changing priorities; thrive in an environment that can be quite ambiguous



  • BA / BS w/ 2-3 years of work experience
  • Very proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in retail math
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate logical analysis and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrate ability to manage small scale projects and drive process improvement
  • Work in a fast paced, time sensitive, startup environment; at times will need to support general operations responsibilities
  • Knowledge in retail systems such as Target’s Partners On Line (POL) preferred
  • Some travel required (once a quarter)
